Dubu Kimchi Recipe (Stir-fried kimchi and tofu)

A traditional Korean dish that consists of stir fried kimchi with pork and steamed or pan-fried tofu.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cup Kimchi, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Butter Can use cooking oil
  • 3-4 strips Bacon, pork belly, or spam. Can use mushrooms
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Pack of firm tofu
  • 2 stalks Green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp Sesame seed oil

Method
 

  1. In a pot, boil water and add tofu
    1 Pack of firm tofu
  2. Boil for 5 minutes
  3. Strain from the water and cut tofu into 1 inch squares
  4. In a pan, melt butter
    1 tbsp Butter
  5. Add kimchi and saute until slightly soft
    1 1/2 cup Kimchi, chopped
  6. Add pork or mushrooms and saute
    3-4 strips Bacon, pork belly, or spam.
  7. Add sugar and green onions and mix
    1 tsp Sugar, 2 stalks Green onions, chopped
  8. When the kimchi is soft and pork is cooked, turn off the stove
  9. Add sesame seed oil and mix
    1 tsp Sesame seed oil
