Korean Spicy Radish Salad Made Simple

A delicious and simple Korean spicy radish side dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Korean radish or Daikon radish
  • 2 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 2 Green onions
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Fish Sauce Alternative: Use soy sauce and a bit of vingear
  • 1-2 tsp Gochugaru, Korean red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp Sweetener
  • 1 tsp Roasted sesame seeds
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Rinse and peel the radish
    1 Korean radish or Daikon radish
  • Use half of the radish. Use the entire radish for a larger quantity
  • Cut the the radish into matchsticks
  • In a bowl, add the radish and sprinkle salt to extract excess water. Let it sit for 5 mintues

  • Squeeze out any liquid from the radish. Taste to see if the salt level is okay. If too salty, rinse with cold water
  • In a separate bowl, mix garlic, chopped green onions, fish sauce, gochugaru, sweetner, and roasted sesame seeds
    2 tsp Garlic, minced, 2 Green onions, 1 1/2 tbsp Fish Sauce, 1-2 tsp Gochugaru, Korean red pepper flakes, 2 tsp Sweetener, 1 tsp Roasted sesame seeds
  • Pour the radish into the sauce and mix until well combined
