Spicy Korean Rice Cake Recipe (tteobokki)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 1/4 cup Fresh or frozen rice cakes
  • 2 tbsp Korean red pepper paste (gochujang)
  • 1 tsp -1 tbsp brown sugar Start with 1 tsp and add more depending on your sweetness level

Method
 

  1. Using a pan, boil water
    1 cup Water
  2. Mix in Korean red pepper paste and brown sugar
    2 tbsp Korean red pepper paste (gochujang), 1 tsp -1 tbsp brown sugar
  3. Add the rice cakes and stir
    1 1/4 cup Fresh or frozen rice cakes
  4. Cook for 8-10 mintues or until the rice cakes are soft and sauce is thicker
