Drain the water from tofu and remove exccess water
1 Firm tofu
Cut the tofu into small squares, 1-2 inches thick
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, water, ground ginger, garlic, sugar, and sesame seed oil. Set it aside
2 tbsp Soy Sauce, 2 tbsp Water, 1 tsp Ground ginger, 1/2 tsp Sugar, 1 tsp Sesame seed oil, 1 tsp Ground or minced garlic
In a bowl, add corn or potato starch
1/2 cup Corn or Potato starch
Open the dried seaweed snack pack and cut the seaweeds in half. Just make sure they fit the tofu
1 Snack-sized dried seaweed
Wrap half of the tofu squares with the seaweed
Coat it in corn or potato starch
Place it on a cooling rack or a plate
On a pan, heat cooking oil. It should coat the bottom of the pan
2-3 tbsp Cooking oil
Fry the tofu with dried seaweed. Cook each side for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy
When both sides are golden and crispy, transfer it on a cooling rack or plate
Remove excess oil from the frying pan
Add back the fried tofu and turn the heat to medium low
Pour the sauce over the tofu
After 30 seconds, slip the tofu squares so both sides are coated in the sauce
