How to Make Honey Butter Rice Cake Recipe

In the air fryer, they puff up leaving crispiness on the outside, chewy and mochi texture on the inside. If you want it crispier, leave it in the air fryer for 10 minutes or so.
Honey butter rice cakes can be enjoyed as a snack or as a dessert.
It’s simple to make and modify based on your preference! You can add cinnamon, crushed peanuts, or almonds… Serve with a side of ice cream. Whatever floats your boat.

Honey Butter Rice Cake
Equipment
- 1 Air fryer Can use a toaster or frying pan with a little bit of oil
Ingredients
- 1/2 to 1 cup Sliced rice cake The ones used in Korean rice cake soup
- 1 1/2 tbsp Butter
- 1 1/2 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Crushed pecans, almonds, or peanutts Optional
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
- If using frozen sliced rice cakes, add them into boiling water and cook for 3 minutes or until soft1/2 to 1 cup Sliced rice cake
- Pre-heat the air fryer at 370 degrees farenhite for 5 mintues
- Strain the soft rice cakes and place them on teh air fryer pan
- After preheating the air fryer, place the rice cakes inside and cook for 5-7 minutes for a crispy outside and chewy inside.
- Crush the nuts. Can roast them on a pan and coat them in sugar2 tbsp Crushed pecans, almonds, or peanutts
- In a microwavable bowl, add the butter and honey1 1/2 tbsp Butter, 1 1/2 tbsp Honey
- Microwave until the butter melts
- When the rice cakes are done, pour them into a mixing bowl, add the butter, honey, choice of nuts, and a pinch of salt.1/2 to 1 cup Sliced rice cake, 1 1/2 tbsp Butter, 1 1/2 tbsp Honey, 2 tbsp Crushed pecans, almonds, or peanutts, 1 pinch Salt
- Mix until well combined
