Kimchi Fried Rice

It is a staple dish in most Korean households. My mom made this dish frequently, especially when she was tired after work. Kids enjoy it as much as adults do!

What is Kimchi Fried Rice?

This South Korean dish is a combination of rice, kimchi, and pork or a choice of protein. People have their own variations suited to their taste palates.

I enjoy mine with pork or spam. It heightens the flavor of the dish. Top it off with a fried egg. Voila, you got yourself an amazing dish.

It’s spicy, savory, and sweet.

How Long to Store It?

It can be saved in the refrigerator for the next day. Although it won’t taste as good. Try to eat it soon after it’s been made.

Vegan Option

For the vegan option, make sure you use vegan kimchi. Some kimchi contains shellfish as an ingredient. For the fried rice part, opt-in for mushrooms in replace of pork or spam.
