Stir-fried Tofu and Dried Seaweed Recipe

Stir-fried tofu with dried seaweed recipe
A delicious side dish to enjoy with rice!
Ingredients
- 1 Firm tofu
- 1 Snack-sized dried seaweed
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1 tsp Ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Sesame seed oil
- 1 tsp Ground or minced garlic
- 1/2 cup Corn or Potato starch
- 2-3 tbsp Cooking oil
Instructions
- Drain the water from tofu and remove exccess water1 Firm tofu
- Cut the tofu into small squares, 1-2 inches thick
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, water, ground ginger, garlic, sugar, and sesame seed oil. Set it aside2 tbsp Soy Sauce, 2 tbsp Water, 1 tsp Ground ginger, 1/2 tsp Sugar, 1 tsp Sesame seed oil, 1 tsp Ground or minced garlic
- In a bowl, add corn or potato starch1/2 cup Corn or Potato starch
- Open the dried seaweed snack pack and cut the seaweeds in half. Just make sure they fit the tofu1 Snack-sized dried seaweed
- Wrap half of the tofu squares with the seaweed
- Coat it in corn or potato starch
- Place it on a cooling rack or a plate
- On a pan, heat cooking oil. It should coat the bottom of the pan2-3 tbsp Cooking oil
- Fry the tofu with dried seaweed. Cook each side for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy
- When both sides are golden and crispy, transfer it on a cooling rack or plate
- Remove excess oil from the frying pan
- Add back the fried tofu and turn the heat to medium low
- Pour the sauce over the tofu
- After 30 seconds, slip the tofu squares so both sides are coated in the sauce
