Jump to RecipeWhat is Marinated Avocado?
It’s inspired by Korean marinated eggs or mayak gyeran. Instead of using eggs, avocados can be used. A great option for vegetarians or those with egg allergies.
In the end, the marinated sauce is what makes the dish.
Storing Tips
Here are some storage tips:
- Best to eat it within 2-3 days. Avocados can become mush quickly
- The Key is to use firm avocados. Avoid the ripened ones!
- Store it in a Tupperware
- Keep it refrigerated
What to Eat it With
My favorite is to eat it with fried or sunny-side eggs over rice. Pour a little bit of the mayak sauce on the rice, mix, and enjoy!
It’s also delicious when paired with a side of kimchi and dried seaweed.
