Quick and Easy Steamed Eggs in Microwave
Looking for a quick add-on to your meal? Try the quick and easy Korean-style steamed eggs in the microwave. It only takes 5 minutes to cook, let’s see how
Jump to RecipeThe steamed egg is a childhood favorite. My mom worked a full-time job so for dinner, she frequently made steamed eggs using the microwave. I never saw her actually mix the ingredients but I recall seeing a steamy bowl of eggs coming out of the microwave.
Some Korean restaurants served Korean-style steamed eggs as part of the side dishes. My friends and family gobble it up immediately!
Add Your Favorite Vegetables
It’s one of my best ways to consume vegetables too! You can add squash, carrots, broccoli, green onions, and more! Just make sure to chop them small so they are bite sizes.
When to Consume
It’s best to eat the entirety of the steamed egg dish once it’s made. You can wrap up the leftover and store them in the fridge. Although it may not have the same fluffy texture.
Alternative to Microwave
For a fluffier steamed egg, add the mixture to a pot and place a round bowl on top. This will create a soft dome-shaped steamed egg. It just takes a bit longer to cook than a microwave.
